“Things that are made from organic material age and decay, especially when they stop being alive. A piece of home-baked bread, say, left on your kitchen counter, will get moldy relatively fast. Lord knows what some ground beef would smell like after a week. But the artist Sally Davies has been photographing one McDonald’s hamburger and fries every day for 137 days. They look basically exactly the same.” via GOOD

DEATH BY MCDONALD’S FOR FORCE FED ANTS
For a month, Brooklyn artist Elizabeth Demaray has been torturing an ant colony by feeding them McDonald’s food. In a plexiglass prison, the ants that usually dine on seeds and fallen comrades ate at a mountain of junk food. It left many dead or disoriented. The horror! The artist usually makes cute resin-ed pancake towers and plant sweaters, but her inner scientist had her take methodical poisoning of ants with what Americans pay daily to guzzle down.
I see a pattern.
My biggest regret ever is over-thinking everything. Over-thinking myself and the world around me has gotten me into fights with friends. Being so indecisive has stressed me out because I go through the pros and cons of everything before choosing. It has cost me relationships because I spend too much time on the “what-ifs” instead of just going with it. I don’t know if it’s an innate thing or if it’s something I can change. I wish I could. I’d be a lot happier, and less complicated, that way!
