It’s funny because Brazil is so irrelevant that the POTUS doesn’t even know the word to describe people who are born there. Har. Har. Har.

But that’s cool, because it shows how Bush is OH-SO-DAHMB. Har. Har. Har.

But what’s really hilarious is that Brazil never sent a single soldier to Iraq, our military is not very big and we were busy in Haiti. Peacekeeping. Like 10 years before the earthquake even hit.

Not killing brown people in the Middle East, but helping brown people in the Caribbean.

The popup would be much more effective if tumblr support had ever solved any of my problems like queue failing, draft posts deleted, missing asks and missing submissions, spam followers or deleted posts. Missing-e was the one plugin that made tumblr barely usable. Since you seem to have waged war against it I’m going to look for another blogging platform. One that doesn’t resort to scare tactics against its users.

In 7th grade my english teacher banned us from using certain words in our essays, such as the word “was”. The objective? To get us to put more thought into what we were writing, and advance our writing skills. I think the same idea can be applied to political/social arguments on tumblr: ban certain overused buzzwords, so people stop relying on them as a crutch. I think this would help people tremendously with reevaluating their arguments, and elaborating more on their thoughts and reasoning. 

Words I suggest we ban:

• privilege
• white supremacist
• bigot
• racist
• cissexist 
• asshole
• white
• misogyny 
• fascist 
• apologist 

Please feel free to add on to this list. 

This would be for your own good, tumblr. IT’S ONLY BECAUSE I LOVE YOU.

I don’t consider myself racist but I have to agree to a certain extent with this person, because throughout my high school years I had to read so many stories about oppression I got pretty sick of it. I wasn’t just sick of the African American stories, but the oppression of Asians and women and it all just got so old fast. It’s the same shit over and over again and I don’t think I really need to read five books about how unfair America treated blacks to get into my head that it was such a terrible time. After the third book I stopped feeling a bit sympathetic for something that I think we all kind of outgrew. One book even had the audacity to relate slavery to the Holocaust. They were both horrible, horrible instances, but blacks weren’t being exterminated by the millions. Maybe I started losing the themes that I was suppose to extract from the text, but in all honesty I wanted to read stories that would have, instead, taught me to be a better person, rather than what a hateful place we lived in.

Foot, meet mouth. Really, it’s outrageous to compare slavery to the Holocaust, slavery in the Americas was much worse than anything you can imagine.
